Welcome to the BT Blog
Where we Hope to Inform and Inspire
If you've been by Bridal Traditions the last couple of months, you've probably already met this bright light, our employee Caylen. We love having her as part of our team, and she is natural at this job. This wonderful mother is a natural nurturer and a perfect fit at Bridal Traditions. We asked her to share a little bit about herself so that we could share it with all of you. "I have been a bride myself, and even bought my wedding dress at BT! I’ve had an interest in the bridal industry since I was a teenager. I’ve also been a bridesmaid in numerous weddings. I love attending weddings and being a part of them. Most importantly, I'm attracted to the idea of helping women feel beautiful and special. I have always been passionate about helping people. I worked as a caregiver for many years, so assisting people and caring for them means the world to me." Working at Bridal TRaditionsWhat do you enjoy DOING the most at BT? "Bridal appointments! Being a part of a bride’s experience in her wedding process is such a rewarding thing. Helping her take some of the pressure off and the stress, and for her to put on a gown that she just falls in love with - is a dream. It always seemed like such an exciting opportunity and that has proven true in my time here. It doesn’t feel like a job, I just love it. And I love learning about the business aspects of this boutique. At times it can feel overwhelming, but it is interesting to learn about and get more comfortable with." What trends in prom look cool to you? "I love satin prom dresses, corset style bodices, and detailed florals." What trends in weddings look cool to you? "Blush/nude/champagne underskirts, and all of the florals!" Do you have a favorite expression or saying? "Everything happens for a reason." What is the best part of a work day? Getting to work with excited customers! Also helping bride's say yes to the dress!! We know you will love her as much as we do, so stop by the shop on your search for prom gowns or as part of your wedding prep and meet Caylen!

The CoupleAngela Renee Sutton married Michael Lee Coffey on September 3rd, 2022 at The Venue at Carbon City, Morganton NC. "Michael and I met on Kirby Mountain Road in Lenoir, when we were both 16 years old. That’s where our story started! Our story is a very long one, that involves being married to each other twice during the years. This story continues with lots of love, that brought us back together for a third time when Michael asked me to ride with him to the beach, on a job for his employer one weekend. We’ve been back together ever since that day in 2018! He proposed on Valentine’s Day 2021 and we were married on September 3, 2022. We honeymooned by taking a road trip to beautiful Lake McDonald in Montana!" The CeremonySince this was wedding number three and for the first two there was no ceremony, they wanted to have a small service at an intimate venue with their nearest and dearest. It was a beautiful ceremony, with gorgeous flowers a fun reception. The Party & HoneymoonThe DressWe were honored to sell Angie her amazing dress for the Third Time's the Charm wedding day. It had incredible lace all over and the sleeves and bodice were particularly beautiful. She told us that she was cold-natured and since the wedding would be in the early fall with a change in temps, she wanted long sleeves. These were epic. The gown had a full skirt and neckline with floating lace details. With her red locks, she was a magnificent. CongratulationsAngie, I wish you and Michael many more years or love, Sunday drives (their favorite thing) and happiness! Thank you for being such a strong supporter and friend of BT for these many years. Much Love, Kelly If you are ready to find your perfect wedding dress . . . What are you waiting for?!

The WeddingThe DressSarah's gown is fitted through the bodice and down passed the waist, has lace details, spaghetti straps and is absolutely incredible. And SHE looked amazing in it. There is a deep swooping back with delicate lace details, and the skirt opens from the mid-thigh and pools in a slight train in the back. Talk about the right dress for the right figure.
