We we have several things that make us different than other bridal shops you may visit; the first and most obvious is that our store is a remodeled Sonic Drive-In. Yes, you read that correctly, and if you think that it would be hilarious to walk in and order a cheeseburger, trust me, we've heard it. Why did we choose a drive-in for our location? We love the unexpected; we also love to see the transformation of the undesirable into something amazing. I'm a bit of a DIY'er, so you will notice that 90% of our furnishings are recreated and re-purposed finds from thrift stores, yard sales, and my mother's basement. The best part of being a remodeled drive-in is we still have covered parking, plus a covered patio complete with purple picnic table, and green chandelier; BONUS!
Number two reason we are unique is that; wait for it........we wear denim to work! Can you believe that? In a world were you are only "supposed" to were black from head to foot, denim, really? YES! After spending years in retail wearing "business casual", and always feeling frumpy, I decided this is my store, I should be able to do what I want. It took me a while to reach this decision, and even longer not to feel guilty about it; it was like breaking some unspoken law of the fashion police. Who makes up these rules anyway? While we are not going to show up in workout clothes, or the jeans I wore for my latest paint project, we do have a pretty relaxed dress code here. Depending on what we are doing on any given day you may even catch me in my BT-T. And, that's ok because I am free to be me, and you are free to be you!
Ready for number 3? Ok, here goes. We have an office dog. Yes, my Lexi comes to work with me almost everyday; she keeps me company while I do my office work, like writing blogs and answering emails. She is strictly an office dog, and is not allowed in the showroom during store hours, but be warned, you may still hear her ferocious barking from time to time; she is very protective of her room, and her mommy. I promise that she has not eaten anyone in the last 4 years that she has been my sidekick. Unless I told her to, of course. ;)
And, last but not least is that we care! We care about our customers and this business. It goes way beyond wanting customers to be completely satisfied with what we have done for them, and the service we have provided. It's more than just selling a dress; we make connections and build friendships. We support our fellow wedding vendors by giving them encouraging words to hang in there when it gets tough. Beyond that, we are also very passionate about giving back to the community and charitable organizations. Our current pet project is supporting Shared Hope International, and we are on our 7th year of planning the St. Jude Benefit Ball. You can check out both of those outreaches on our Giving Back page. Ok, enough tooting our own horn. We are just so thankful for this life, and this business that God is allowing us to use as a tool to bless others.
Well there you have it! All of the crazy, quirky truths about what makes us a unique bridal boutique. If you think you can brave the madness, we would love to see you! :)
We are so excited to announce that we are adding Ella Rosa Gallery bridal gowns to our collections beginning this fall! Ella Rosa Gallery is a division of the Private Label by G design house, (maybe you have heard of them?), they have only been designing quality bridal gowns for more than 30 years!
We love this beautiful collection of bridal gowns that feature; soft romantic styles, with a modern flare, and superb fit. All of that, along with the more than affordable price points, makes this line a match made in heaven for our brides.
All of the Ella Rosa Gallery styles are available to order in sizes 2 -28, with no up-charges for plus sizing until after 20, and every styles comes in a choice of white or ivory. Regular delivery time for special orders is an unheard of 12 to 14 weeks, and in a world where it can take 24+ weeks from other designers, that's pretty darn amazing! If you need your gown even quicker they also offer an 8 to 10 week rush cut for an additional fee.
All of the styles pictured, plus more, will begin arriving at Bridal Traditions Wedding & Prom Attire in November 2015! Make sure you stop by and let us help you find your perfect dress, and always remember to; Enjoy this Moment!
Store owner, Kelly has been in the bridal industry since 2000, when at the ripe old age of 20 she opened her first little store front on a wing and a prayer. She is a certified wedding planner (no, she does not plan weddings), and everything she knows about bridal and formal wear has come from, gut instinct, trial and error, and watching LOTS of What Not to Wear.
