Welcome to the BT Blog
Where we Hope to Inform and Inspire
At BT, we're in that glow of new gowns, new dresses, and gorgeous prom sales. Don't let the weather fool you. It's going to warm up and girls have already flooded our beYOUtiful boutique to buy their prom gowns and extra goodies. Some of you may be tempted to go with online retail, so it's time to pull another little bit of caution from the files of BridalBeware.com. They have some VERY HELPFUL tips if you're going to purchase online - but your better option is to go to a boutique like ours where you will know exactly what you're buying, can choose from boutique brands that DON'T cost an arm and leg and where you'll receive service from people who will listen to you. IMAGINE THAT....! Watching Jimmy Fallon on late night TV or others on social media do the whole #FAIL is fun. ... right up until it happens to you. Here are examples of getting nothing like what you expected. This comment above is all over the internet and believe us, things have not gotten better since 2015. There are always exceptions that prove the rule, but we haven't seen any. Working with you is why we're in business. Ordering online is convenient, but they are not interested in chatting with you. They need a rough size and credit card info. We're not interested in judging your size, shape or taste in dresses at our shop. We want you to get a good deal on a beautiful, well-constructed prom dress (ask us about the engineering that goes into the gowns at our shop - read: mind-blowing) that looks good on you and that you'll love dancing in. We know you're going to be with your friends. We know that you're going to be taking selfies to share and look back on years later. We also know that the world of e-commerce has lulled everyone into thinking that cheap is fine, convenience is king and that customers may decide to enjoy time in a boutique, where they pick up tips and then jump online to buy from someone who most likely employs workers and children in sweatshops and in foreign countries. It's absolutely the client's call, but we hope you know that buying local, from hard-working members of your community, who - by the way - have a curated line of lovely products, will be a bigger pay off than you can imagine. This, dear reader, is how beYOUtiful prom clients look! ![]() Make it worth your money, time and memories. The rush of getting that brown box is fabulous, but once you've tried on something cheap, poorly made and that doesn't show who YOU are, the deflation is pretty quick. Trust us! Come in to our shop and let us take care of you. There are prom events coming up. They are great times to come learn, buy and save. We look forward to seeing you soon!

I am thankful that this post underlined that when looking for prom dresses, it is important that we ensure we purchase from an authentic shop. In doing so, we can prevent scams and fake dresses. I will definitely keep this information in mind for future references.
