Bridal Feature - Sierra Shaw

Sierra Ladawn Shaw and Andrew Curtis Wyatt made their wedding happen on June 6 of this year, during Covid, and they did it with love, will and family. Their ceremony was at Scenic Valley Farms, in Glade Valley, N.C. 

The Couple

"Neither of us was looking for anything serious but that’s usually how it goes right? Our first date was at Rio Grande in Galax back in May of 2018. We went for dinner and rode around in his truck until way into the early morning. He apologized all night about how boring he was, but I was so crazy about him, it didn’t matter what we did. After that we were inseparable."

The Ceremony & Details

Getting married during a pandemic presents countless obstacles. The couple considered postponing, but felt they had waited long enough, so they stuck to their original date. They simply decreased the number of guests and moved the ceremony to their friends' private family farm. The reception was outside and a perfect spot for their rustic chic theme. 

Sierra shared that for her the best moment was "the feeling as I was waiting to walk down the aisle and when I actually got to Andrew."​
Another sweet detail that Sierra shared was the gift of a bracelet with the inscription "Aunt" on it from Andrew's niece. Suddenly, two families were one. 

The Dress

This bride had her dress in mind, but told us later that she was so wrong. "I thought I knew exactly what type of dress I wanted, but the one I ended up buying was like the 3rd I tried on. It's funny because that style was one that I was dead set on not buying!" It was exactly what she hoped for at her barn wedding. 

As always, we were eager and ready to guide when Sierra came to us. "Everybody was awesome! I felt welcome and like the BT team really cared about my wedding day and my happiness! The whole process was a breeze and when I had last minute issues, Kelly was great at helping me!"​

Congratulations and Cheers to this couple who stuck with what they wanted and got it, ... with some modifications. We wish you health, happiness and decades of a marriage that just keeps getting stronger.
